Bearing perfect phonetic resemblance to the Rider Waite (Smith) Tarot Deck, the goal with the title of this realm was to blend my writer persona with my witchy aspects. Thus, Writer Wait was born!

The Writer Wait Logo, what I refer to as: the Ace of Pens, serves as a version of the Ace of Swords tarot card that, in this case, subliminally reminds us that the pen is mightier than the sword. It is my desire that the entirety of the Writer Wait Universe embody the Rider Waite interpretation of the Ace of Swords.

This is traditionally a card of clarity, divine inspiration, and can allude to the written word. It’s a card of ideas, epiphanies (no pun intended), and ah ha moments. It is God ordering steps with a word; Not the finish line, but a fresh start, a light bulb moment that inspires the formerly blind to speak the words, ‘now, I see.’

The Ace of Swords is inspiration from seemingly out of the blue, a breakthrough cutting through mental fog and restoring direction.

In the traditional Rider Waite Smith deck, the Ace of Swords appears as a hand emerging from a dense cloud and is a sign of triumph though the work has only begun. This godly hand comes with a choice, what will you do now that you have been so inspired?

The nails in this Writer Wait version, along with the blue fuzzy puff atop this copper pen acknowledge how at the time of inspiration to begin this journey, I didn’t look like what I was going through, but boy was I going through it.

I, fortunately, became acquainted with Egyptian Blue Lotus Flower at a time where I decided to deeply meditate on my next steps as my current path felt more like a cycle that I desperately needed to free myself from (and I must make time to tell you more about this flower sometime, but please know that if you decide to seek it out on your own, READ THE REVIEWS, as there are more fakes out there than the real thing).

All hope felt lost to me, the fog was thick in a vast terrain. Yet, despite everything, I was able to remain centered enough to meditate on nothing for 20 minutes or so, and the idea for Writer Wait came into view. I was embodying the Ace of Swords, letting clarity rule and not emotion in what felt like the lowest point of my life. I didn’t know where I was going, and clearing my mind through meditation made way for clarity from the divine.

I already knew I wanted to do a magazine, but through meditation, the idea for videos accompanied by a blog is what emerged. I held on to the idea of a magazine for a long time until just before launching when that one task seemed nearly impossible. I let it go and focused on what the Universe inspired me to do, and what are the odds that I now find myself in close association with a magazine that has become so dear to me. Do you believe in coincidence?

When the Ace of Swords comes into a reading, it might be a sign to take on a new project that involves intellect, communication, and mental power, and if you have found yourself here, perhaps this is your sign to do so, in your own way, or by becoming involved as part of the Writer Wait Universe and Ink and Soul Magazine. Perhaps this is your sign to take all the pieces of yourself that you have to offer and find a new way to blend them to create something wholly unique, as I have been inspired to do with Writer Wait.

The Ace is not the destination, it’s the flash of insight that comes before you have a moment to think about what you have just realized. It’s the first step on a path that you could over think, or you can choose to trust.

Before I could talk myself out of this journey, the Universe sent me Lord John Snow who took a chance on an interview before I even announced what I planned to do. He saw a clip from a channeled message I shared and asked if I was starting a podcast leaving me to think that Universe had playfully interfered once again.

Then came Miss Epiphany Castro who followed, kindly validating my platform along with Miss LaToye Manley-Davis who continues to encourage me as a writer and well-rounded content creator. Takes one to know one, I suppose.

Then, just as I wondered if anyone was listening, inspiration struck again, leading me to ask about merging Writer Wait with Ink & Soul Magazine. I find myself more inspired than ever to grow this avenue, not because more eyes are on it, but because I want to bring more individuals here as a thank you to the founders of Ink & Soul Magazine in the way that I can.

Even more than writing, my greatest passion is to inspire! Writer Wait was never just for writers or witches, but through those aspects of myself, I can bring my full self to the table and speak a language I know to, ideally, reach the masses.

Writer Wait is still in its infancy as I type this early in Quarter 3 (Summer 2026), and I am pleased to say it has come so far already, but still, it feels as if it has been a long time coming. From desperation to divine inspiration, this is my most beloved passion project to date, and I genuinely appreciate all of your support.
